Please note: I was involved in strategic innovation work and long-term initiatives that remain confidential. Due to confidentiality reasons, I'll describe my contributions in general terms, but am unable to provide any sensitive project specifics in my portfolio.

My role at CIBC was embedded in an Agile project team working on an Estates project, focused on updating an application used by end-users, when supporting clients.
It was also a great experience to design with PEGA process automation with the software recommendations and limitations.

As a UX/UI design lead at CIBC I had to Work closely with a team which did not have any experience working with a UX/UI designer. So, after a few months I transformed a function-centric project team to more user-centric application development team that are willing to investigate technical alternatives.
I worked on Estates client journeys app, with CIBC team and National Estates of Canada managers to change the manually filling paperwork process to highly usable and accessible product for all users who were going through the process. As a UX designer, I was always seeking to better understand users and select and design the features that best match their needs, solve their pain points, and bring them meaningful innovation. After months, the result of this teamwork project was amazing. On new designed application:
  • The entire User experience and interface has been changed. The data fields self-explanatory  helped users to proceed easily and continuing the process quickly without any describe.
  • We could reduce the time of the Estates process and back and forth between Banking centers and National Estates of Canada, and also the amount of touchpoint with the executer of the Estate.
  • Very powerful overview for National Estates of Canada managers follow up.

I was working very closely with the business team and product owner to understand product specifications and expectations on each sprint or release, and with development team to review technical capabilities and collaborating about future design processes before execution. In order to better understand and observe user behaviors for every release I established biweekly user testing. This allowed me to gather their feedback on how to make the application more intuitive and easier to navigate.
This is the UX design roadmap that I created for Estate project. It was kind of planning map to track design activities, the steps we are doing on each release or sprint. It is also a simple way to show the list of high-level visions and goals that UX/UI want to achieve over the next few months.
This would be easy to understand even for the stakeholders and the business team.

The Bullseye Framework It was a continuous process that I was using in different sprint or even releases. This method is a simple, but the most effective traction path and process on how a team can focus in on the right channels for distribution resulting in a surge of customer acquisition. I was working on the frameworks with the stakeholders and POs to find the priorities in our design path.

In my experience, the best UX/UI designs result when teams work together to sketch out their ideas. I'm always doing this based on solid user research combined with a clear understanding of business needs.

The resulting sketches help me and the team to clarify our thinking quickly and making abstract ideas more tangible.

With fast sketching method, we clearly can communicate our ideas with the team members. This will also help others clearly communicate their ideas back to us.

When I'm planning the design of a website or app, card sorting can give me insight into how the gathered researched items should be grouped and how the navigation should be identified and structured in the sitemap.

By this way I can easily evaluate the site information architecture (IA) at a few different aspects of a user’s experience when interacting with a product. I can make decision how users can search for information and then browse through the whole app/product. This is how I can represent the information in an effective way that allows users to access information smoothly.

At the same time the team were working on the sitemap and the high-level overview of the project and planning for the release. The priority of the stories on each release or sprint were depended on product owner and business team decisions.
